As Big Ben peals across the Thames River in London, the same tune announces the hour over the Town Basin in Whangarei, beckoning visitors to view this world class collection.

Introduction to the Museum
To all clock enthusiasts, time travellers and the plain curious. Never mind the seconds, take a few minutes or maybe some hours and experience the intrigue of a building filled with more than a thousand ticking and chiming clocks and like-gadgets that trace the human development of time keeping, believed to be the largest collection of clocks in the Southern Hemisphere.
(Over a thousand, dating back to 1720).
Guided tours at no extra cost are available and our guides can adapt each tour to cater for families, special groups, school parties and overseas visitors. Read more about the history.

9am to 5pm daily (closed only Christmas Day)
Adults $8 l Children $4 l Senior/Students $6
Family concession, 2 adults and up to 4 school age children - $ 20 | Groups over 10 persons - $ 6 pp

Onsite you'll find our fabulous gift shop with an extensive range of quality souvenirs, clocks and jewellery, as well as postcards, stamps and phone cards.
